Sisters

Gabrielle loves to play.

She loves to play when her big sisters are around.

Samantha or Sarah don't have to do much, even just sitting next to Gabrielle makes her smile :)

Smiles and Personalities

I love my girls.   Each one of them.

They have such different personalities.  Samantha loves to help out.  Sarah is an independent thinker.  Gabrielle just takes it all in and smiles and laughs with her big sisters.

Today, Samantha & Sarah don't get along.   I know someday we're going to throw Gabrielle's personality into the mix.   But, for today, I will take Gabrielle's smiles.   Today I will take Samantha and Sarah showing so much love towards their baby sister that it makes me get all emotional.

It's a Reading Win Win!

Samantha loves reading.   She seems to do much better when she has an audience around her.

Gabrielle loves to listen to people talk.   We have found that it lulls her to sleep.

Looks like a win win situation for everyone!

A Walk In the Park

After a very long Winter, Mother Nature has shown us some mercy the last few days and given us some warm, sunshine'y days.

Gabrielle had her first ride in her baby stroller today.   I walked down to meet Sarah at the bus stop and Sarah pushed the stroller back home.

I think Gabrielle seemed to enjoy herself.   What do you think?

The Best Big Sister There Is

Ever since we brought Sarah home from the hospital, Samantha has been right at our side making sure she was able to help.

Flash forward 7 seven years and Samantha is still doing that for us.   She truly loves having a baby sister to take care of.

Even at such a young age, this warms my heart.

Big Sisters

Samantha and Sarah have really enjoyed playing the role of big sister.   They love spending time cuddling up with Gabrielle and feeding her bottles.

Big Sister

This morning was Sarah's turn to feed Gabrielle before getting ready for the school day.

Sarah forgets that Gabrielle isn't going to be doing much for the first week or so.  I can't begin to tell you how many times Sarah has asked if Gabrielle can crawl yet.

Big Sister

Samantha and Sarah have thoroughly enjoyed having Gabrielle home with us.   In fact I have been told by the girls on several occasions "Thank you for having her [Gabrielle] Mommy and Daddy!"

Samantha has been enjoying feeding Gabrielle's bottle before she heads out the door for school.  She loves it!

Come On Baby

Samantha and Sarah are so excited for their baby sister to arrive.  Every Friday I look up to see just how big baby girl is.  We're pretty much at watermelon stage now.  (Ha ha)

Isn't it amazing how much you can love someone that you haven't even met yet?

Missing Socks

The Madoreables have always had a fascination of taking off their socks.   Samantha was born in the middle of the Summer never liked the feeling of her feet being covered.   Sarah never liked her feet covered either.

We're happy that their socks are FINALLY being put to great use:  with sock puppet shows!

Summer Selfie

I thought it was only fair to get a selfie with both my girls today in honor of Samantha's 7th Birthday!

It was a beautiful morning and the sky was full of perfect clouds.

Silly Girls

We're going on day 4 of Summer vacation and are just loving the idea of no rushing around, no schedules and just being ridiculously silly.

HOORAY FOR SUMMER!

From Ear To Ear

I never get tired of looking at these faces...

Or hearing their giggles

Or hearing the excitement in their voices when snow is falling on the ground.

As a parent, we teach our children so much when on the other hand our children teach us so much in return.

Take time to be excited about the little things.

Take time to smile.

Take time to giggle.

An Education Lesson From the Madore-ables

We can learn a lot from children.

No matter what you're going through.

No matter what pain.

No matter what happiness.

Stop and think about the things we take for granted.

Pause and smile

When the going gets tough,

The tough make a funny face...

or two...

Just be silly.

Laughter is good for the heart.

Jump around.

Dance like nobody is watching you.

Even if someone is watching, invite them.

Hug.

And never let go.

"Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow.

Don't walk behind me, I may not lead.

Just walk beside me and be my friend." -- Albert Camus

Filling Daddy's Shoes...Or Shirts

The Madore-ables were very silly one morning last week.

They decided they wanted to play dress up.

In midst of packing, and all of the boxes in our kitchen...the girls found the boxes with Jeremy's clean clothing in it...

Here's what happened:

Cafe de Madore-able

Welcome to Cafe Madore-able! We are open from 11:30am-12:30pm EST. Picky eaters need not sit down. Our menu is quite large: PB & J for Samantha with a cheese stick or yogurt and fresh fruit. Goldfish crackers for "dessert". Cheese stick or yogurt with fresh fruit for Sarah.

The girls plan out their menu each day, and each of the girls makes sure that the other one has their sippy cup for something to drink. Such thoughtful people in our cafe!

Morning Lullabies

Samantha loves to spend her mornings out on our back deck. Lately, she brings out a beach towel out with her and loves to roll herself up in it and "nap" on the deck. We think she just likes to cuddle up with a blanket personally.

Each time Samantha does this, Sarah rubs Samantha's back and sings lullabies to her. "Twinkle Twinkle" is Sarah's favorite lullaby to sing.

Oh It's Love

I'm in love.

These girls are the most sweetest, thoughtful girls anyone could ever ask for.

Sure, they test my patience on a continuous basis, but what child doesn't?

It's not always fruit snacks and sunshine at house of Madore-able...

But we always have love.

There is always room for hugs and kisses.

And love.
