Recently, the Madore-ables were getting ready for bed. We had just finished reading stories and saying prayers. After saying prayers, the girls give each other big hugs and kisses and usually say "Good night Sammy or good night Sarah".
It's not uncommon, but there are some nights where the girls are over tired and get feisty and cranky with each other. So I told the girls that they need to be nice to each other and say nice things to each other.
Samantha seemed to understand what I was saying, so she gave a second full hearted attempt to be nice to Sarah. So the two gave each other nice big bear hugs. Sarah says "I love you Sammy". Sam says, "Sarah, you smell like macaroni and cheese".
I did tell her to say nice things.
