The Blizzard of 2013 - NEMO!

So in case you haven't heard by now, we were hit by a snow storm a blizzard over this past weekend.  I have seen a lot of snow in my lifetime, but I can honestly say I have never seen this much in one place.  We had an awesome weekend.  I went to work on Friday morning, only to find out that I actually didn't have any  catering orders so I went home and spent the entire weekend home with Jeremy, Mom and the Madore-ables.  No working.  No schedules.  Just lots of food, games and fun.

This is the view from our back deck.  Just some perspective, the railings are about 3' tall.

The view from our back yard.  The snow drifts were crazy!

The girls loved it, and couldn't fathom the amount of snow that was dumped on us.

(At the base of the deck stairs is our gas grill...completely covered in snow.  You can see just the top)

This is Jeremy's car (Prior to any shoveling)

A view from the street

Hundreds of cars go up and down this street every day.  The silence was very strange.

What do you get when you have a bed, a couch, tons of blankets and a Daddy with a cool imagination?

FORT TIME!

By Sunday, roads were completely plowed and parking lots were cleared out.

We took advantage of these awesome snow banks.

Well, Nemo.  It's been fun.  Thank you for visiting!
