Ahoy Madore-able Mateys!

Last week, Samantha was fortunate to have Friday from school off.  So, we decided to hop in our car and take a little trip to Fall River, Massachusetts.

Due to state funding, and sponsorship, the USS Massachusetts has been able to keep a lot of the original weapons.  (Obviously, for safety's sake, the weapons don't work anymore).

Having a little bit of fun on the anchor.

This entire wall includes all the names of those who served on the USS Massachusetts from
May 12, 1942 - September 1946

My Grandfather was Clifford R. Sims.  He was a Chief Petty Officer while aboard the USS Massachusetts.  Grampy proudly served our country in the United States Navy for two tours of duty. His first tour was before World War II serving on the USS New Mexico and after the attack on Pearl Harbor he reenlisted for another four years serving on the USS Massachusetts serving in the South Pacific.
