On Fridays during the season of Lent, our parish holds something called "Soup, Pasta and Stations". Each week a group in the church takes charge in sponsoring the event.
This past Friday, Grades 1 through 5 took charge and put on a Lenten play to recreate the story of Jesus' last days before he was crucified. Samantha participated in the play and was chosen as the part of Mary Magdeline.
After we left the event and were driving on our way home, Samantha said outloud, "Can you imagine being Mary Magdeline? Can you imagine being the first one to announce to the world that Jesus was alive?"
