Today is January 3, 2012 which means it's your "half birthday". How is it that 6 months ago, we were sitting in our living room opening your birthday presents in shorts. Just seems like yesterday.
You've been doing a great job at knowing the difference between playtime with Mommy, or Daddy or Nanny and playing by yourself. Daddy and I are so happy that you enjoy the Thomas the Tank Engine table top that we bought for you for Christmas. Mommy has been trying hard to have one on one dates with you. I really enjoy spending separate times with you and Sarah.
We love the fact that you also keep yourself entertained with cross word puzzles. (The circle the word kind). When we went to Maine this past weekend, you spent a lot of the time in the car keeping busy with that.
We're so proud of you. Daddy and I know how hard it is to listen to us. We certainly have our bad days with temper tantrums and we do have good days. Keep up the good work in putting the effort in. Sometimes Mommy feels like the days of arguments are far and few between.
We love you Sam. Always know that. We know that one day you're going to give us the "typical" teen age attitude and you're going to feel that you don't need Daddy and I so you can gain independence. I hope you can look back one day on these blog entries and just know how much you were loved and are loved right now.
