Five Things That Happened This Past Week That Made Me Smile:
- I was able to snag another amazing find on FreeCycle: A sandbox! Not only FREE but in great shape too!
- Each night I come home from work, I go in and check on the girls before I go to bed. There have been a few nights I've come home and Sarah is half awake. So, when I fix the blankets, Sarah has woke up and said in a sleepy voice: "I'm so glad you're home Mommy". My heart melts everytime.
- I have cookie fundraisers scheduled for both Saturday of this weekend and Monday of next week. Both days look amazing weather wise: sunny and warm! Here's to raising some funds for my AWBC walk! - Each night at work, when the store closes we have groups from local charities who come in each night and take away left over pastries and bread and bring them to shelters in the area. I was talking to one of the groups who came in earlier in the week and they said something to me that just moved me. The group pretty much told me that each week that they drop off the bread and pastries, they get to meet a lot of the less fortunate people. One of the less fortunate people mentioned that they have never looked forward to breakfast before my store started donating our left over product. Now it gives them great hope to wake up each morning. Those words were just what I needed to hear. It makes me so happy to know that we can help people like that.
- I took the Madore-ables to a story hour at our local library. And afterwards, we did a craft as well. The girls have absolutely no problems going in and making friends with kids their own age. It just makes me smile to know they are so friendly. They had a great time at the library.
