Five Things Friday

Five Things That Happened This Past Week That Made Me Smile:

1. Jeremy's Mamere and my Grampy passed away earlier this week, both on the same day and within hours from each other.  We were expecting it, but not on the same day.  We cannot thank you enough for everyone's kind words, prayers, cards, flowers and support during this difficult time.
2. Even though I thought Samantha had a crummy school vacation this past week, Sam told me that she had a great vacation - we painted toe nails, she got to wear a special bracelet and she got to play with her cousins on Thursday.  It warms my heart that such small and simple things could be remembered like that.  I love that my children can remind me to be optimistic even when times are tough.

5. We're looking forward to Jeremy's birthday next week!  With all the sadness we've experienced in the last week, it'll be nice to celebrate something happy.
