Dear Samantha (41 Month Update)

Dear Samantha,

Today you are 41 months old. Another month has gone by, and you're doing so many more things than you did last month. One thing is for certain, you love to help Mommy & Daddy around the house. You're always willing to help set the table for each meal, or get your clothing ready first thing in the morning when you wake up. Although, I think the next thing we need to work on is helping pick up your toys at the end of the day ; )

You are doing such a wonderful job being a big sister to Sarah. You've taught her so many things: how to be independent and walking up and down the stairs. Someday, I promise Sarah will learn to share her toys. I know she drives you crazy sometimes when it comes to playing, but I promise you two are going to be good friends.

Daddy and I love the fact that you're really into music. Especially the last few weeks with Christmas carols being played on the radio. You laugh whenever "The Chipmunk Song" comes on the radio and you dance like there's no tomorrow when "Rocking Around the Christmas Tree". It's really fun to explain to you what Christmas is really all about and share new traditions with you. We love the fact that you're asking questions and learning.

Your imagination is also working overtime too. Daddy and I are glad to see that you're really enjoying your play kitchen that we bought you for Christmas last year. You're also showing Sarah how to play pretend, and serving the most festive of tea parties. Even Martha Stewart can't serve a tea party as fancy as you.

I hope you stay the same happy, beautiful little girl for a long time. It makes Daddy and I so happy to know that you are happy. It's been challenging to have one income the last 2 years, but it's been worth it. I look at your knowledge, and your excitement for life and it makes us so motivated to do more for you and work harder for you. Now that Mommy is working a little bit and putting a little extra money aside for things like home improvements, or a down payment on a house someday we want you to know that we are doing this for you and Sarah and that we want more for you then what we had at our age. We know you're too young to understand that right now, but one day you will. Just know that Daddy and I love you so very much.

Love always,

Mommy & Daddy
