The Madore-ables and I were playing in the living room earlier in the week. Jeremy and I were given a beautiful, very simple manger scene from my in-laws around the time we got married. I love the simplicity of it, but I also love the fact that it's non-breakable so I don't mind if Samantha picks up the pieces to look at them. These days because we're in Advent and Christmas is coming, Samantha always has lots of questions about the manger scene. It always sparks some good conversation.So yesterday morning, Samantha picks up Gabriel the Arch-Angel and looks at it. I can only imagine the questions before it comes out of her mouth.
Samantha: "Mommy? Was Gabriel a boy angel or a girl angel?"
Me: "I'm pretty sure that Gabriel was a boy angel hunny"
After a few seconds
Samantha: "Mommy, if Gabriel was a boy angel, then why is he wearing a dress?"
My 3-year old does ask great, thought provoking questions :)
