Mother's Day 2012

Today I celebrated Mother's Day with the people who made me responsible for being a Mommy.   I personally look at everyday as Mother's Day.  Although, I do have to say it's nice to be reminded with those sweet "Happy Mother's Day" gifts from your almost 5 year old and almost 3-1/2 year old.  Yes, the girls drive me absolutely crazy most days.  They have similar temperments.  They are both very strong willed and LOVE to help Mommy or Daddy or Nanny out where help is needed.  I need to just take more moments and learn to relax.  Being a Mom to our Madore-ables is quite exciting really.  You never know what's about to happen from one moment to the next.  There's never a dull moment.  I wouldn't change it any other way though.  I love their smiles and their giggles.  I could do without the fighting and arguing over the smallest toy, but it goes with the territory, right?  Just have to learn to take the chaos with the happy, peaceful moments.

Today, we first started off the day going to church.  Then once Daddy got home from choir, we spent some time at Plum Island Beach reservation just watching the waves and letting our piggies soak in the sand and the cold water.  I don't ask much for Mother's Day.  All I really wanted was a nice picture of me and my girls.  No fancy Pandora jewelry for this lady.  My Madore-ables (with a little help from Daddy) made copies of their hand prints and wrote their names.  Afterwards, Daddy framed them both.  Samantha had also made me some beautiful hand crafted beauties during the week while she was at school.  The kind of crafts that make the mommies cry.

Afterwards, we came home and had a cookout with my brother and his girlfriend and our friends Jeremiah and his wife Heather and their daughter Rebecca.  (Or, as Sarah would like to call her, "Be-recca").

I am truly blessed to have such amazing people in my home and in my life.

Happy Mother's Day!
