A Behind The Scenes Tour

This past week, Nanny, the Madore-ables and I took a field trip (a tour if you will) to the local Market Basket. (Market Basket is the locally owned, very reasonably priced grocery chain). The girls had a great time. I was very impressed at the length that the MB staff went to to keep the children entertained. They did a fantastic job.
The first stop was the deli/seafood department. The girls had never seen a lobster before...they were a little freaked out by it, so it was probably the last time they'd see a lobster for awhile.

Next was the warehouse after the big trucks deliver the order. Sarah was counting the soda bottles in the warehouse here.

The produce tour gave all the children their own bag with an apple inside.

All the kids saw popsicles and fudgeicles...my girls saw Dora.

(After receiving some free samples, some of the kids in the group asked if the MB staff was going to hand out popsicles as free samples too)

We then stopped by the bakery department, and Teri showed everyone how to make flowers. Samantha needless to say was fascinated.

Huge mixing bowls. These things came up to Sarah's waist!

Teri showing the children the big ovens and where they bake the cakes and the goodies.

(Can you find Sam?)

Samantha just received her goody bag from Teri...she was so excited!

Sarah was very excited too!

Samantha was very excited about her plastic egg rings. Plus her Easter egg cookie and cupcake.

Sarah searching the aisles for bargains.
