Five Things Friday

Five Things That Made Me Smile This Week

  1. This past week has been semi-outdoor weather. New England takes forever to realize that even after it's officially Spring, only does the Spring weather actually arrive. The Madore-ables are definitely tired of being house bound. We've spent some time drawing with chalk at Nanny's house, and out on the playground. Granted, the girls are bundled up but, they don't seem to mind. The fresh air does their lungs well and their nighttime sleeping even better.

  2. I've had a great time this past week with the girls going to FCC activities. Earlier in the week, we had a field trip to the local Market Basket and we were given a behind the scenes tour. The girls loved it, and I learned a few things too.

  3. Training is going pretty well...although, I'm not sure how this weekend is going to go with the surprise "April Fools" snow storm we received this morning. I just completed my second full week of going to the gym. I feel so much better after being there for a few hours. I'm hoping that if this snow melts I can start walking early in the morning before Jeremy goes into work. 7 weeks left of training before the AWBC walk!

  4. Last night we had our friends Jeremiah and his wife over for dinner. We'd love to go over their house, but unfortunately Miah & Heather have other living occupants: cats. (Jeremy's very allergic). So, Miah and Heather brought dinner with them and it was AMAZING! Seriously, the best chili and cornbread I have ever have. **Sigh**

  5. The girls don't listen to "main steam" music. We listen to a lot of Jars of Clay, Newsboys, and of course the traditional "Wheels on the Bus". But, there are two mainstream songs that the girls listen to where they drop everything to listen to...even when we're in a store. It's Train's "Hey, Soul Sister" and "If It's Love". True story, we were in a store earlier in the week, and the girls literally were looking up and down the aisles and all of a sudden "Hey, Soul Sister" started playing and both girls yelled out "HEY, SOUL SISTER!!!!!" We received quite the amount of laughs from the other people in the store...and there was also much singing and dancing. It was quite funny.
