Easter 2011

For Easter this year, we celebrated the day at my Mom's house along with my brother. Mom cooked us a very yummy meal, and for the first time in a long time, we decided not to have ham this year. Instead, we went out on a limb and decided to go with something less traditional: a barbeque. You heard me correctly. Marinated steak tips and boneless pork ribs. Yummm. I'm hungry again just thinking about it.

Easter was also special this year for a second reason, as it was Jeremy's birthday. We had a really fun day. The day started off with candles and singing Happy Birthday and the day ended with us singing Happy Birthday.

Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day:

Hunting for eggs around Nanny's yard. I think there were over 3 dozen eggs hidden for both the Madore-ables...they were excited over every one! There were some goodies that didn't fit inside the eggs, so Mommy left a special note inside the egg to come see her...

The girls were really excited about their new Dora the Explorer sunglasses, Play Doh & Samantha was especially excited over her new Hello Kitty rain boots. Mommy & Daddy were excited about the jelly beans and the Reese's butter eggs. YUM!

My very handsome husband and my two beautiful girls for a family Easter portrait
(It's SO hard to get both the girls to smile and look at the camera at the same time)

  1. I can't believe Easter has already come and gone. I just finished the leftovers from the meal. Yummy. The girls are so much fun. I can't wait until they see the final gift for their basket. I find it more difficult keeping secrets the older I get. Thanks, again, Jeremy, for christening the barbecue instead of baked ham. Change is awesome.
