Five Things Friday

Five Things That Made Me Smile This Past Week:

  1. Training continues to go well. I've kept up with going to the gym, and walking in the morning before Jeremy leaves for work. I have the butterflies in my stomach feeling knowing that one month from now we'll be finishing up day 2 of the AWBC in Boston. You are able to still donate to my walk.

  2. I ran my 2nd fundraiser for the year and I do have to say that it ran very successful. I ran a "Cookies for the Cure!" event at the North Andover, Ma Post Office in honor of those who are turning in their 2010 taxes. We're accepting donations and handing out home made cookies. We had a licensed massage therapist who spent the day with my walking team giving complimentary massages. It was a great time. Today, I'm running day 2 of the fundraiser and hoping to hear more emotional stories like I did yesterday.

  3. This week was pretty quiet, but the Madore-ables and I spent a lot of time at the library and with the FCC for fun playdates. It's great to know that there is so much entertainment for my Madore-ables and mostly local and for FREE!

  4. Speaking of free and local entertainment, the Madore-ables and I discovered what jumping in rain puddles meant this past week. We put on some rain boots and really went to town in our driveway. The girls had a great time, and we'll be sure to do it again!

  5. It's freaking Jeremy and I out that the Madore-ables are growing up so quickly. Samantha will be 4 in 3 months, Sarah is almost 2 1/2. Samantha is really doing a better job at listening to us and realizing that when she misbehaves that there is a punishment. Sarah is going through her "terrible 2's" phase, but she is realizing the same thing: if she misbehaves, she's going to have a punishment. The hard part is being consistent. Sarah is speaking full sentences and we're actually able to really understand what's she's trying to communicate. Samantha is showing big signs of being independent (even though she's been showing that for a long time now) but either way, our Madore-ables are growing up real fast.
