Dem Bones Dem Bones

The Madore-ables have been flexing some bones lately...

Some creative bones.

Jeremy and I have noticed that each of the girls have really been showing their individual and creative personalities lately. We've noticed that Sarah has no problem finding something to play by herself with while Samantha tends to need coaching on finding ideas on what to play with. Once the girls are alone, and are playing by themselves, it's really interesting to see how the creative bones come about.

Not sure what Sarah was doing here...maybe she was having her "People Puppets" (a.k.a Little People) put on a musical concert?

After the "concert" was all done, she led the People Puppets down on the floor...maybe to play bowling?

Last week, I did a lot of baking for my sister-in-law's wedding shower. While I set up my ingredients to have the girls help me, the girls entertained themselves some more. Here, it looks like Samantha is having her Little People search the land (or my cooling rack) for ingredients.

Sarah was in the background playing with Candy Land. Although, when Sarah plays Candy Land, it really just means that she uses the playing pieces walking throughout the game board and calls out the colors as she's moving along the path.

Samantha wanted to make a camera out of the Legos, so I made the bottom half, and then she proceeded to create the top half. The bottom half is where the lens is, and the top half is where the "looker" is (a.k.a "the viewfinder").

We clearly don't take any photographs of our children, so I have no idea where Samantha got this idea from ; ) *wink wink*

  1. I so enjoy your posts Jen. It's like a digital scrapbook. I find my little one imitating her daddy too. Although she preferred to "fight" us for our cameras. So last Christmas I got her a digital one by Crayola. She loves it, and really uses it. We downloaded them, then made a slideshow for her to watch. She was very proud of herself. Can't wait what else your little ones do next time. Keep em' coming!
