Yesterday, Nanny, the Madore-ables and I went on a very sweet (no pun intended) field trip with the FCC to the
New England Chocolate Company in Amesbury, Massachusetts. Jayne was a fantastic tour guide, and she did a wonderful job explaining the process of how chocolate begins and how it ends...in our stomachs :)
Here begins the tour

Chocolate is there life apparently

Here, Jayne is explaining how chocolate begins. This is a chocolate replica of a cocoa bean.

Jayne explaining that cocoa beans aren't necessarily brown. They're orange!

Before we went into the magic kitchen, we had to wear special hats.
Sarah wanted nothing to do with the hats.

And everyone had to wash their hands!

And be fitted for "special" gloves

A melting pot of dark chocolate...mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Samantha just found out that she's going to get "hands on" with the chocolate.

Samantha "fishing" for her Oreo cookie in the chocolate pot.

Sarah didn't participate in the kitchen, but Jayne was very kind and made an extra piece and gave it to Sarah.

Samantha enjoying the fruits of her labor.

Thank you to Lilly and Marion for organizing the event and of course, thank you to Jayne for opening up your doors to 12 children and being such a great tour guide!!!!
What a great time with Jenn, Sam, and Sarah. The hats were quite stylish, although I liked the boy ones better. Quite the sweet day, all around. Jenn and I went to see Yanni at Lowell Mem. Auditorium last night. AWESOME.
