Dear Sarah (28 Month Update)

Dear Sarah,

Today marks your 28 month "birthday". You've done so much growing up in the last month. Daddy and I could not be happier or more excited for you.

These days, you've become extra affectionate and cuddly. You think nothing of coming over and giving Mommy "rapid fire" kisses on her arm, squeezing Mommy's arm for a hug, and then saying "I love you Mommy!". It's always a sweet and unexpected surprise.

You continue to do very well by saying please and thank you both at home and in public. You make Mommy and Daddy especially proud when you and Samantha say thank you in public without being asked...we always seem to impress the other parents around us. That makes us so proud.

Your appetite is awesome these days. Honestly, it seems as if we put anything in front of you and you just eat. You're not a big fan water in the sippy, but we'll work on that. Your favorites are still chicken nuggets and french fries (a.k.a "Fry-fries") and you absolutely love carrots (both raw and cooked).

Your singing songs quite frequently. Your favorites are "Hey, Soul Sister" and "If It's Love" and "Row Row Row Your Boat".

You love playing with Little People, and love making the Little People into finger puppets. (Or as you like to call them, "People Puppets"). You've also taken a fancy to "Hide n' Seek" and "Duck Duck Goose".

You've been off of your medicine for over a month now and we can safely say that you probably don't need it anymore. We're keeping it in the refrigerator just in case.

You are also testing your boundaries these days too. You're observing Samantha's behavior, and seeing what you can get away with with Mommy and Daddy. I know "The Terrible Two's" are a part of growing up, but trust us, the word "no" has to go.

Thank you for smiling and laughing and always keeping us on our toes. Spring weather is coming soon. We'll be outside soon enough running around and playing. We promise. Be happy. Keep smiling. Know that we will always love you...and Samantha loves you too.

Love, Mommy and Daddy
