5 Things That Have Made Me Smile In the Last Week
- This week has been a nice, quiet week. As much as I miss Sarah's playgroup on Mondays, it's actually nice to not run around. I have had a lot of time to clean around the house and declutter. This week I found out that the library down the street from us has several "story hours" for the girls between now and the end of the year. I took the girls on Tuesday and we had a great time. Samantha is learning what it means to borrow something and return it. Sarah has a blast in the Children's room playing on the colored ABC rug and shouting out the letters in each square.
- Less than 1 week to go for Thanksgiving!!!! (Have I mentioned how excited I am?)
- I started my transcription job this past week. It took me quite a bit of time, but I finished my first assignment and did a great job. My next goal is to save my money from any transcribing assignments and start saving up for home improvements.
- I'm really looking forward to this coming Sunday. Not only do I get to see my friend Sarah, but Sarah's daughter, Gabby turns the BIG 4 the week of Thanksgiving. Miss Gabby has decided to have a girls only birthday party: complete with a lunch date and a day at the salon for Samantha and all of Gabby's friends. I'm so excited for Sam. I'm sure there will be a blog post next week with Samantha's party pictures :)
- Yesterday I was summoned for Jury Duty. You're reading this correctly, it's considered #5 on my "Five Things Friday" blog. One of the five things that has made me smile this week. I was a nervous wreck driving into Lynn yesterday morning, but in all honesty? It was a great day yesterday. Unfortunately, I cannot talk about the case because I was selected for the jury and I will be back in court today for closing arguments and until the jury has been deliberated, I can't talk about the court case. BUT I will say again, it was really a great day, and I will have to blog about it more on Sunday.
