Oh The Funny Things Kids Will Say

Over the weekend, Samantha and I went out to run some errands. Before we started our trek, I had to stop at a gas station to fill up my gas tank. When I was all done, I sat back inside the driver's seat and I made a comment that said something like "Boy, Mommy's Jeep was hungry today. I had to fill the gas talk." Samantha and I then had a conversation about gasoline verses diesel and how cars have gasoline and trucks have diesel.

Sam and I continued on our journey and after running to a few stores, I completely forgot about the conversation that Sam and I had at the gas station. So, it was a surprise when Samantha randomly said, "Mommy! Your Jeep must have been hungry!" followed by a few giggles. To which I drew a complete blank and asked Sam to repeat what she had said. Samantha repeated herself and added, "Do cars eat gasoline?". I of course am completely clueless to what she's talking about so I asked Sam again to explain what she means. Sam reminded me of our conversation 20 minutes previous at the gas station and said that my Jeep was hungry and took a lot of gas today. Sam just kept giggling and said on several occasions "NOM NOM NOM" and "Gas is yuck-eeeeeeeee". I laughed out loud...I can only imagine what was running through her head.
