The Madore-ables, Jeremy and I had dinner at my Mom's house and decided to take the girls for trick or treating to the neighbors houses that I grew up with. It brought back many memories of freezing cold temperatures and having 3 layers of clothing underneath an already restrictive costume. Or the horrendous, plastic face masks with limited breathing holes and covered with condensation.
Last night, I felt that I dressed the girls up in the same costumes that I had dressed them in last week: Samantha was Minnie Mouse and Sarah was a cow girl. The girls had an absolute blast. I explained to Samantha that once she rings the doorbell, when the owner comes to the door to say "Trick or Treat". So the first house we went to, Sam was the designated doorbell ringer. Samantha yells out "Trick or Treat" and all by herself says, "Thank you!" Next thing I look over and Sarah is all smiles and signing "thank you" for the candy. I was just in awe and so proud of my Madore-ables. It was a little chilly, but we forged ahead to get those precious pieces of caffeinated, sweet goodness.
Here's just a few pictures from our Halloween festivities last night:
Samantha couldn't figure out how to get the glow stick going
Sarah was so excited to have a glow stick!
Aw, how sweet and cute that they said thank you all by themselves. The costumes sound adorable!
ReplyDeleteIt was indeed very cold for the trick or treaters out there last night - can't believe it's already November!
