We arrived early, so Mom and I were informed that we would be serving the toppings for the ice cream sundaes. The Madore-ables unfortunately could not serve any food due to OSHA and other rules. Not too worry though, because I made sure that our girls were kept busy and well entertained for the 60 minutes that we served smiles. Samantha decided that she would hold the hot fudge and butterscotch sauce containers, and when a "guest" (which is what both the girls were calling everyone who came through the line) came up, Samantha did an amazing job notifying me when the sauces needed to be poured and Sarah handed out plastic spoons to everyone. (The guests seemed really happy to have ice cream).
The girls had an amazing time, and I think they really got a lot out of it. Samantha whispered to me "Mommy, these people are very nice", and Sarah notified me that she was having fun too. We're definitely going to take the girls this again, make this a regular habit. It just goes to show you that you're never too young to be taught a valuable lesson.
Sarah thought her hands felt funny and tickly as she wore the very large size food service gloves.
Sarah eating her much deserved ice cream sundae after handing out lots of plastic spoons and smiles to all of her guests.
(In case you were wondering why there aren't pictures of Samantha, well, her and Jeremy had to leave right after dinner was served here so that they could go to Samantha's "Dad's Night" at her school. And, you guessed it! They served ice cream sundaes too!)
