Today you celebrate 21 months of life. You have come such a long way, and it seems like every month you're accomplishing so many more things. Daddy and I are so very proud of you. We are loving the fact that you're trying so hard to talk and communicate with us. You're using your baby sign language very well, especially the sign for "more" and now "help". It's so funny to see you repeatedly, and some days feverishly sign for more graham crackers, or goldfish or pineapple. We also love the fact that you are excited to read books and even "read" them by yourself once in awhile. It's really cute to watch you sit on the floor with a whole pile of books around you. You recognize some farm animals which is fantastic. You're not able to pronounce "horse" or "sheep" so instead you call them "Nay nay" and "Baa baa".
Not that we watch a lot of television everyday, but I love to hear you get excited when a new TV show is starting. When one is over, you say "Uh-oh" and "Ahh-duh" (all done). Same goes for meal time. You let us know when you're "Ahh-duh" and when you want to get down from your high chair. The only thing that Daddy and I ask is that you try to learn is patience. I promise you, we will get your meal to you as soon as we can. Would you mind just hanging on another 10 seconds? We would really appreciate that. We're also proud of the fact that you're now understanding when we say grace before each meal to fold your hands and we'll eat afterwards. It's so cute to hear you say "Ahhhhhh" (Amen) at the very end too.
I promise not to pressure you, but we're very excited that you're showing an interest in wanting to potty train. Samantha is your big sister and is going to teach you so much. I know she takes your toys all the time, but you also take hers too. There will be times where you will not get along, but the rest of the times you will be great friends. You will teach each other so many things. Keep living your life to the fullest. You won't understand that until you're much older, but we do hope that you continue on your journey of being healthy and of course happy. Your Daddy and I love you so very much, and as I mentioned in Samantha's letter yesterday, God knew that your Daddy and I needed you (even know we didn't think we were prepared for you), He knew that you filled the hole in our lives. Now looking back, the craziness really wasn't that bad. Since you have arrived, you've completed that gap that we had. Now instead of a happy family of 3, we're a happier family of 4.
Love you always,
Mommy & Daddy
P.s- I should mention that your boo-boo above your left eye on your eyelid from last Friday night has been healing very nicely. I hope it doesn't leave too much of a scar.
