Yesterday, the
Madore-ables and I met up with my friend Chrissy and her daughter Abby, and we went apple picking at
Red Apple Farm in
Phillipston, Massachusetts. The girls had a great time, and had plenty to explore. The farm is HUGE! Plenty of apple tree variety, hayrides, farm animals and even a big sand box with lots of toys for the kids to play in. There's also pumpkin picking and if you can believe this, you can dig for your own potatoes! (I know that potato picking is a very random statement, but in all my years of farm hopping and apple picking, I have seen many signs advertising for apple, or pumpkin picking. Not once have I ever seen a sign for
potato picking). Red's Apple farm makes their own apple cider on site as well as their fudge.
I love this time of year. The cool weather, the apple pies, the apple crisps. Best of all, the beautiful foliage. *Sigh* I'm giddy with excitement already.
Hooray for photosynthesis! As usual, I took way too many photos to upload and post on this entry. (Are you surprised?) So, here is a
variety mixture potpourri mishmash array collection of my favorites from the day.
