Buried Treasure In Nanny's Attic

Yesterday the Madore-ables and I had a very productive and fun afternoon at my Mom's house. Mom and I are running a yard sale this coming weekend so we organized, cleaned, got things ready, you name it we did it. I crawled into spaces that haven't been touched since my parents bought the house in the 1970's. I inhaled more cobwebs that haven't been breathed since Moby Dick was a minnow. (You get the idea. Hmm, I should probably stop there. I'm really not trying to make my mother sound like a bad house keeper, I'm just trying to set a descriptive scene). While I helped clean, I was multi-tasking and doing a load of laundry and the girls were happily playing with toys. It really was a great, productive afternoon.

When I was done with the basement, I moved to the attic next. I figured I would save Mom the trouble of crawling around in the attic and head up to see what else I could gather up. Mom had mentioned that she saved a few toys from when my brother and I were little...but that was putting it mildly. She saved pretty much every Fisher Price toy from birth to the age of 5. I don't know who was more excited...me or the Madore-ables.

Here's the buried treasure that I found

Oh to be a kid again! Wait a minute...there are two that live in my house. I can live vicariously through my Fisher-Price toy playing children :)
