In Honor Of Labor Day

As I have mentioned in many previous posts, the Madore-ables enjoy love music. It doesn't matter where it is: musical instruments in our living room, grocery shopping, and especially in the car.

In honor of Labor Day, I thought I would share a song that the girls both love very much. I thought it held a lot of significance because labor could mean several things. It could mean a pregnant woman is about to have a baby. Or, it could mean work. In my post from yesterday, I had a fun little mathematical problem. I have another one for today: labor = motivation + hands. Whenever the following song plays in our car, Samantha sings along with the words in the backseat. While the chorus "If I had two hands" is playing, both Samantha & Sarah throw their hands up in the air. It's very sweet to see these 4 little hands waving around in my rear view mirror. I wish I could take a picture of it, but alas, that probably wouldn't be a wise and safe decision if I'm in the process of driving :)

Here is Jars Of Clay's video, "Two Hands" that was released from their LP "The Long Fall Back to Earth" back in April 2009.

If you're curious to know why Jars of Clay are in Africa, you can read more information here. Lots of labor and hands went into providing clean drinking water for those countries who don't have the money or the means of technology.
