Five Things Friday

5 Things That Have Made Me Smile In the Last Week

  1. We had a great amazing FANTASTIC time down on the Cape this past weekend. It was so nice to relax for a few days, and enjoy the weather. Most of all, it was nice to spend some time with my hubby, the Madore-ables and my family. (If you didn't read my blog post from our trip to the Cape, click here).

  2. While we were away down the Cape, we found out something very exciting for Samantha: she's ready for a big girl bed. My aunt and uncle lent us an air mattress while we stayed and Samantha was very excited about it. We've been talking about it a lot since we got home on Tuesday, and I think by the Fall Samantha will be ready to make that new step. Sam has already announced that she wants black blankets and white sheets.

  3. Yesterday the Madore-ables and I had a play date with my friend Kerry and her daughter Shannon. The weather didn't look so great, so we decided to trade our outdoor play date for an indoor one. The Madore-ables had lots of fun with Shannon, and the mommies were able to chat. Hooray for Mommy/kidlette play dates!

  4. I now have AC in my car thanks to my amazing, fabulous, and very talented husband. He took some time on Saturday to work on my car just to get it ready for us to leave on our trip on Sunday and was able to recharge the AC unit. I tell you, it's been a long time since I've had real air conditioning in my car. My version of AC has been "windows rolled down" mode. My hubby is amazing...I cannot say that enough.

  5. We're in September now, which means a lot of things. School has started for most people; we're just a few weeks away from Autumn, cooler weather is about to settle in; and last but most certainly not least, and my absolute favorite about the Fall is apple picking season. I love the smell of apple pies, and apple crisp baking in the oven. Not too mention the eating them part :) Today, I'll be taking the Madore-ables out to central Massachusetts to visit my friend Chrissy and her daughter, Abby to go apple picking with a hay ride. I'm so excited I can't even stand it.
