We were able to do some real relaxing, even if the Madore-ables don't quite have that word in their vocabulary. We spent a lot time at the beach (that was literally just a short walk down the street), eating, picnicking, walking along the Cape Cod Canal, eating...and did I mention eating? It was just nice to get away for a few days and have a great time. No thoughts about the craziness at home; no thoughts about cell phones/Facebook/technology; just 100% fun with my family.
I learned and was reminded of several things while we were in Wareham:
- When someone else makes food while on vacation, it always tastes just like heaven.
- It's amazing to see just how many times the Madore-ables smile at the most simple of things.
- Toys from the dollar store, or the dollar section at Target make the most amazing, fun times especially in the car.
- Fresh air + no naps = equal bed time for the Madore-ables.
- Family is an amazing gift...especially with those who I spent time with this weekend. :)
- You can really see the stars down on the Cape.
- We found out that Samantha is ready for a "big girl" bed.
- I always over pack.
- I absolutely love sunblock and bug spray.
There are too many photos to upload onto this entry, so I'm just going to upload my personal favorites:
